Left Wing Politics
Scenes from “Rude Boy”, a semi-documentary featuring the Clash. Joe Strummer talks about how LEFT WING is better than right wing politics and the Clash performing London’s Burning and White Riot (with Jimmy Pursey of Sham 69) at an anti-rascist/anti-national front rally in Victoria Park, London.

Joe actually has credibility here given the fact he did grow up fairly wealthy compared to most and he had been given the luxeries most never had. He realized it was shallow and empty..there are different kinds of people in the world those who care about people and the selfish bastards who only care for themselves. That interviewer needed a reality check if he thought that he’d ever be wealthy like that just keep dreaming and working hard while you make nothing idiot

The other guy. Not strummer, GOT IT RIGHT!
Left wingers are a bunch of blow hards who want to stifle creativity and stop people from being successful and give up everything to the people.
I say fuck the people!
Most of them don’t deserve a break. Little sissy whiners.Whiners an blamers deserve nothing. @ theclash161 whatever that means, WHA??? What the hell kinda lame ass statement is that?
SELFISH to want to be one of the few??? Yeah the problem with the humans today is self loathing!

everyone wants to become one of the few. The fact is that MOST people don’t make it and its selfish to think that YOU out of the billions will.

Personally the power of the market place resides in its left wing nor in its right wing but in a paradigm financially just, lack of such balance demanding a left wing response with a right wing one, that the bird may fly the coup. Democracy as the power of the people who spend money, not as the power of money to move people to spend time in the demos.

@intenzez – yeah, pretty much… but I think Joe should have said that he was from that background….this would have made his point even more valid IMO…but, I guess at that time it would not have been particularly ‘punk’ to have revealed this..

@MrChubbleyWarner I’m sorry if I misinterpret what you said. But do you mean that, because he has seen it, he knows that there’s nothing. Me and Joe are cut from the same stock. Upper middle class, and I too share his views, and alot of it’s based on the fact that i’ve seen what’s there and know that it’s nothing.

@intenzez – yes, and he should know..his father was a Diplomat and Joseph went to boarding school in Surrey!
